Conference for Mayors and Local Councilors from Taraclia Organized by the Center for Civic Initiatives for National Minorities

The Center for Civic Initiatives for National Minorities organized a conference for mayors and local councilors from Taraclia district to identify the main issues in local authorities' activities, ways to collaborate and strengthen efforts for district development, create a dialogue with national authorities, and discuss the benefits for Bulgarians from Moldova’s accession to the European Union. The conference featured the participation of Natalia Davidovici – Member of Parliament, Maya Dobreva – Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, and Veaceslav Reabcinschii – Director of the Agency for Interethnic Relations. After the event, the main problems and solutions were identified. Based on this information, a guide will be created as an informational resource for international partners and authorities in developing work plans for Taraclia district. Additionally, a special training program was launched for district municipalities to train qualified specialists in project development and donor relations. The event was part of the "Empowering National Minorities in Moldova" program, implemented with the support of the European Endowment for Democracy.
