#MinorityDialogue: Steps Toward Inclusive Democracy

Moldova is a country with remarkable cultural diversity, yet national minorities remain underrepresented in Parliament. This lack of visibility leads to their needs being overlooked in legislation and policymaking.

In Drochia, the Civic Initiatives Center for National Minorities (ICPMN), with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Agency for Interethnic Relations, organized a key discussion under the #MinorityDialogue platform. The central theme was ensuring minority participation in the 2025 parliamentary elections.

Participants addressed existing challenges and proposed ways to strengthen political representation. The main goals include creating a permanent consultation platform, drafting a Minority Declaration, and promoting European values of equality and inclusion.

This initiative marks an important step toward a stronger democracy and a more inclusive society. #MinorityDialogue becomes a space for collaboration and a united voice for all Moldova’s communities.
